The art piece "Impacts", by Alexandre Burton, is on exhibit at Pittsburgh's Wood Street Galleries. Tesla coils make up the components of this “live” sculptural installation. The presence of the visitor before each sculptural device activates an audio and visual experience. The visitor’s proximity to the works engages arcs of electricity of variable intensities. I photographed these electrical arcs, and then utilized computer software to manipulate my photograph of the electrical arcing into symmetrical, beautiful, kaleidoscopic images.
